Afternoon Ceremony Unites Gibson and Finison in Raleigh
Miss Harriett Louise Gibson daughter of Mrs. Cora G Gibson and the late Paul B Gibson married F. Finison son of Mr and Mrs R B Finison in a simple Thursday ceremony at First Baptist Church Raleigh. Bride wore white palm beach suit with pearls and white orchid. Groom a NC State student and former Air Force member. Guests included out of town Finisons from Greensboro and Wadesboro. They will reside at 220 East North Street Raleigh after a wedding trip.

Miss Lucille Bumgarner, visiting Walter T. Britt in Hollywood California, was feted at Oaklands Jamestown home of Mrs. W. G. Ragsdale with Mesdames Foscue Wiike Dixon. More than 100 guests called between eight and nine. Miss Bumgarner, school principal, wore a black quilted taffeta dress and a corsage of white roses. The receiving line included hostesses the honoree and Miss Ruth Anne Horney. Assistants included Misses Bessie Mae MacFadden Carrie Vincannon Ora Sublette Elizabeth Hanner and Mrs. Ernest Crouch. The tea table featured a lace edged cutwork cloth and a silver bowl of white dahlias with candles and flowers throughout the home.
