Club Bid Blocked Over Residential Zoning Clash
Perry Hatcher’s Rac N Cue plans to run a club in a residential area were vetoed by the city Planning and Zoning Commission. The panel ruled the bingo and billiards operation would function as a business, not allowed under current zoning. The decision followed Hatcher’s bid to use a special use permit for Lansdowne Street property, moving his N Main Street operation to the new site. Clarence Lambeth abstained as the commission unanimously opposed the proposal.
