Three reformatory inmates from Eastern North Carolina Training School remained jailed in Edgecombe County pending a preliminary murder hearing set for midweek. They are Wayne Jenkins 15 James Goodman 14 and Willie Ingram 16 all charged with the Friday shotgun killing of Clyde Farmer 35 of Rocky Mount. Sheriff Bardin said Jenkins admitted firing the fatal shot after Farmer interrupted the youths attempting to steal a pickup outside his home.
