Fayetteville High School begins integrated classes in mixed group

Fayetteville Arkansas begins integration as Negro and white students attend the same school. Five Negro girls enrolled in the sophomore class last Friday and more were expected today. The city, with about 400 Black residents, reports little opposition and notes economic savings behind the policy. Charleston Arkansas also moved toward consolidation and quiet integration.

Eden Piccioni reach full agreement on European defense

British Foreign Secretary Eden and Italian Foreign Minister Piccioni say they achieved full agreement on the European defense situation after a three hour conference. U S Patrol Fired On By Czech Border Troops

In Heidelberg Germany a U S Army border patrol was fired on by Czech border guards near Barnau Scubben area. The Americans did not return fire and no injuries were reported after about 35 rounds. The unit involved was from the Islegedly Armored Bareau, about 35 miles from the area.
