Airlines deploy top pilots and maintenance teams to install extra tanks and nav gear, converting planes for military work. Orient flights carry personnel, weapons, engines, blood, and troops. state flights move evacuees and wounded. Domestic air service remains largely untouched, cargo reduced, as newer aircraft handle passenger hauls. More MATS planes return to service for Far East duties. a wider airlift could speed up, risking domestic seat shortages.
