David H. Blair former U S commissioner of internal revenue died in Whitefield New Hampshire Tuesday night after a long illness. Born in High Point January 13 1868 he was educated at Guilford College Haverford College earned an A B in 1891 and studied law at UNC 1897 98. He married Adelaide Cannon Douglass in Concord on November 27 1917 and practiced law in Winston Salem for 23 years before serving as commissioner of internal revenue from May 4 1921 to June 1 1929. He then returned to law practice and resided at Wardman Park Hotel Washington D C. Continued on Page Ten.
