Perry's Mistake Ends Run At Zero Record

Perry, San Francisco right-hander, beat the Cubs 21 Sunday with a three-hitter but an error in the seventh by Perry spoiled a possible scoreless stretch and a shot at Carl Hubbell's NL record. Santo scored on a Banks mishandle as Banks' grounder turned into a key error. Perry settled for 13-15 on season and 2.75 ERA. Giants remain in second, five behind leaders. Maury Wills added two runs.
