McCarthy asserts he had a perfect right to call Sen Flanders senile and claims the word was used on the Senate floor during cross examination. He declines to specify the obscene remarks referenced. Flanders had accused McCarthy of Hitler like tactics and sowing division in a June 1 speech.
Local churches roll out enhanced visitation and fellowship plans as summer fatigue fades. Green Street Baptist hosts speaker Mrs. Marie Grant from Mills Home Thomasville for the State Missions program on Wednesday night. Brotherhood supper next Tuesday features talks by Rev.
