Randolph Denton Youth Dies In 27th 1969 Road Fatality
Randolph County records a 27th highway death of 1969 when 17 year old Randall Wade McDowell of Denton dies in a curve overturning crash near the Davidson County line. Driver Jacob Huffman 18 and other occupants are injured or treated. McDowell a Bossong Hosiery Mill worker is survived by his German-born mother Faye Melzer and father W B McDowell, with siblings and grandparents named. His body rests at Ridge McDowell Funeral Home awaiting funeral arrangements.
