Tar Heel Club in Washington Donates NC Flag to National Cathedral

The Tar Heel Club of Washington presented the North Carolina State Flag to Washington's National Cathedral during a 4 p.m. ceremony in St. Marys Chapel. William A. Creech delivered the flag to Chaplain Craig Eder, with Cathedral Verger James Berkeley and club members in attendance. The old flag, dating to 1933, had been given by Josephus Daniels and Mrs. Arrington. The ceremony capped a busy summer for the club, which posted social events in Maryland and planned a barbecue and barn dance for September.
