Coffee Hour Honors Centennial Guests at Watts Home
Dr and Mrs Roy E Watts hosted a coffee hour at 213 Hillcrest Dr to greet visitors for the First Presbyterian Church centennial celebration. Mrs Samuel N Thomas poured, with fruit, chrysanthemums in yellow and bronze, and a silver coffee service. Honor guests included the Rev and Mrs Charles P Cobb Mrs C C Williamson and Dr and Mrs Paul T Jones. The Rev Samuel N Thomas was among those present.

DAR Planning Committee Feted With Luncheon in Thomasville
Mrs. Charles Phillips regent of Alexander Martin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution entertained the executive board and committee chairmen in Thomasville with a 12 30 p m luncheon at Thomasville Woman's Club. Seventeen covers were set with marigolds and ageratum as a centerpiece. Plans for the year ahead were reviewed and reports given. A district meeting in Sanford on Sept 23 was noted and a trip to Tryon Palace on Nov 3 was planned with a chartered bus.
