Relatively Small Warheads May Be First To Be Tested
President Kennedy’s authorization may trigger first tests of small yield battlefield nuclear warheads. Nevada underground tests are contemplated for devices like Honest John and Davy Crockett, with 100 to 20 000 ton TNT equivalents. Pentagon officials warn tests could advance development amid Soviet testing and rapid tech change.

Test Cuts Car Insurance Fees For Boys Who Are Good Drivers
A new psychological test lowers auto insurance costs for 16 to 25 year old males who demonstrate safe driving attitudes. Developed by Charles F. Haner at Grinnell College, the test predicts risk without relying on skills, with high scorers paying adult rates and low scorers facing higher premiums. In two years with 4,000 drivers, about 24 percent were low risk, while around 40 percent were in higher risk groups, correlating to more accidents. Girls of this age still avoid heavy penalties.
