Young bicycle rider survives auto collision in High Point
Joseph Clinard, son of A C Clinard of 402 Willowbrook street, escaped serious injury after a bicycle and car collided at Washington and Main streets. Driver R Rankin stopped, dragged eight feet, and Clinard avoided bones breaks aside from back cuts. Rankin, from 404 English street, took the youth to his father’s home after a doctor’s check found only bruises. Both were on the correct side and swerved to avoid impact. no blame attached.

Charlotte Street Car Strike Ends After Negotiations

Hobart Mills September 5 A college professor Don E W J Thomas attempted railroad detour for health. He fed the engine too much and leaped from the cab window into tree branches. The engineer tried a rescue but Thomas fell into a water filled ditch and was retrieved.
