Fire truck smashes car at Ashe and Broad intersection
A Ford passenger car was badly damaged in a collision with a Nor Side fire truck answering a alarm at the Ashe and Broad Street crossing. Witnesses say both vehicles were moving at mid speed and the crash resulted from a misread firemen signal. No injuries. car occupants unharmed. The car front wall and steering were bent, a wheel crushed, and the fire truck suffered a damaged frame but can be repaired.
