Wireless link planned for Wakefield Fire Chief Graham car
Wakefield Massachusetts officials plan to install wireless telephone sets on Fire Chief Fred Dr Graham's automobile to keep him in constant contact with headquarters. As fire hazard officer and wire inspector, Graham is often away from the station, and delays in reaching him have occurred. A receiving unit at the firehouse and a sending unit in the car would allow instant calls to direct him to emergencies. Similar equipment considered for Superintendent Merrill’s car.
