London reports an outstanding RAF attack on Saarbrueck last night with over 200 bombers. Only three bombers were lost, the lowest loss rate in mass German raids. Weather was clear and targets were well visible.
Berlin reports Russian planes raided east Prussia and occupied Poland last night starting fires in Warsaw. The British air force bombed western Germany with civilian casualties in the Palatinate and Bavaria, while Saarlauertern homes suffered, and Saarbrucken was targeted. Two British raiders were shot down.
