Cabaret at High Point Falls Short as Broadway Copy
Review criticizes On The Aisle Inc. production for a North Carolina stop as lacking Broadway polish. Judi Laurence and Peter Boynton fail to dominate. supporting actors shine, notably Ada Simmons and David Carvey. Lighting, sets, and dance numbers disappoint, with only two Kit Kat girls earning praise. The piece ends by noting the show showed occasional promise but never felt Broadway authentic.
