Gardner Deliberates On Grand Jury Indictment in Gaston Controversy
Raleigh Oct 29 Governor Gardner refuses to say if he will intervene in the Gaston county case after a grand jury failed to indict in the Ella May Wiggins killing. Friends expect no action until the grand jury acts. The News and Observer backs Attorney General Manning, while Gardner opposes executive overreach, keeping hands off until indictment is returned.

Corrections to the Car Ad Errorgram
The list corrects five points about the ad. The man should remove his hat when greeting a woman. One trouser leg shows a cuff while the other does not. No autos are built with seven cylinders as claimed on the billboard. No head lights are on the auto pictured. The scrambled word is NEIGHBORHOOD.
