The National Labor Relations Board certified the International Chemical Workers Union of America AFL as bargaining agent for TM Hitchcock Corp in Murphy. The vote 26 to 7 named the union after company objections over alleged interference. Forty eligible voters, 23 ballots were challenged, with 21 of those voters deemed ineligible due to layoff or firing before the election.
