Navy Admiral Admits Using Hunting Lodge
Navy officials disclosed that Adm. Harold E. Shear, the top Navy officer in the Pentagon conflict of interest probe, used a defense contractor Northrop Corp hunting lodge in Maryland with eight other officers between 1971 and 1974. He was counseled by Adm. James Holloway II to avoid violations, and no further action was taken.
