Historic Trinity Days Recaptured by Dr Plyler at Trinity College
Dr A W Plyler recalls early Trinity College days before moves to Durham in a Trinity Memorial Association address. He recalls football debut under Dr Crowell, diverse student body from east to west, and memories of faculty leaders like Braxton Craven, Gannaway, Pegram, Andy, North Carolina English, Heitman, Carr, and Alspaugh. He credits Crowell’s vision and donor support for Duke University’s survival and growth.
