Italian steamer Principessa Fafalda disaster rescue tally

At Montevideo Uruguay on October 26 AP reports 1,224 rescued from the Italian liner Principessa Fafalda after collision or disaster off Brazil. Of 1,258 aboard 34 were still missing late today with rescue totals showing 450 saved by mose and Athena each, 202 by Empire Star, 122 by Rosetti, plus 300 rescued by Avalona in earlier dispatches.

Warfield leaves estate for aged women home in Maryland

S Davies Warfield, former Seaboard Airline Railway president, died in Baltimore and left a will directing that residuary estate valued between 3 000 600 and 10 000 000 dollars be used to found the Anna Emory Warfield Home for dependent elderly women at Manor Glen farm in Monkton Maryland. He named five friends to take over his Seaboard holdings and to vote the stock to advance his plans for the company and the south, with no changes to control or expansion policies anticipated.

Santa Barbara Islets Charted Off Baleine Point

The Abrolhos rocks near Baleine point lie 30 miles southeast, covering about 1 percent of a mile. Santa Barbara islet stands 131 feet high, about 0.75 miles long and 200 yards wide with a lighthouse at the east end. Other islets are small. pilots report Santa Barbara largely safe except a reef at the west end and three smaller islets to the south.
