Funeral Held for Mrs. Ameliia E Clark in High Point
Mrs. Ameliia Elizabeth Clark, a well known High Point woman, died Tuesday night and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery. Services at her residence on East Washington Street were led by Rev. W. A. Lambeth and Rev. Charles P. Cobb. The ministers praised her life, a choir sang several hymns, and pallbearers included J. P. Perry and J. A. Lindsay among others. A large crowd attended.

Barrett Fined in Two Rowan County Cases
James F. Barrett of Charlotte former president of the North Carolina state federation of labor faced two Rowan County charges in Salisbury court. He was fined 25 dollars plus costs for drunken and disorderly conduct and 75 dollars plus costs for carrying a pistol. Barrett admitted the pistol, contested concealment, and gave notice of appeal. The cases stem from Barrett’s August visit during the railroad shopmen’s strike. An 800 dollar bond had been ordered forfeited earlier for missing the trial, later not demanded due to a medical certificate of illness.
