Revival at Green Street Baptist set for Oct 31 to Nov 7

Dr Marshall Craig will lead a revival at Green Street Baptist Church from October 31 through November 7. A series of 48 family prayer meetings is planned for next week as part of the event.

Piedmont Mission Study Institute Held at Green St Baptist

The Piedmont Associational Mission Study Institute met last night in the Green St. Baptist Social Room with Mrs. Bill Creech in charge. Classes included Pilgrim to Brazil for adults, Land of Many Worlds for youth, Missionaries for intermediates, Adventure in Brazil for the “Little Missionary” group, and a session by E. L. Myers. The event was postponed from Friday due to stormy weather.

Youth Rally to Be Held Across Three Cities Tonight

Youth from Concord Charlotte and High Point will gather at First Church of God for a 7 30 p m rally. Walter Vincannon will deliver the message and music will be led by Rev Charles Freed. Johnson outlines seven point plan for Democratic congress

Salesman Admits Bank Robbery in North Carolina

Elbert Dens Woodcock, 23, a hosiery salesman, confessed to robbing the People's Bank and Trust Co. in Rocky Mount on Sept. 20, taking about 8209 with a toy pistol. He led officers to a cache near the Tar River where roughly 7300 was recovered, and pled guilty at a Rocky Mount preliminary hearing.
