A Nation's Schools poll finds a majority of superintendents support teaching about religion in high schools though with cautions. Many believe such teaching would improve world understanding while others warn of community tensions and prefer elective or historical approaches.
Directory lists numerous churches with addresses, pastors, and service times across Baptist, Free Will, Church of God, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Catholic, Jewish, and other denominations. It includes worship hours, Sunday School, midweek studies, and prayer meetings for locations in High Point and surrounding towns.

Joseph B. Brewer of Rocky Mount will address the Albemarle Presbytery gathering at 6 50 p m Monday. Brewer is chairman of Brewer Paint and Paper Co and a director of Steenshorn and Co. Inc., with ties to the National Bank on Rocky Mount. He has served on Albemarle Presbytery committees and is a member of the Church Extension committees of Albemarle Presbytery and the Synod of North Carolina.
