Dublin Oct 22 Cardinal Patrick O'Donnell primate of Ireland died at Carlingford at 11:05 am after several weeks illness from influenza pneumonia and pleurisy with an embolus causing his death. His condition had fluctuated, including a prior stroke, but death came suddenly this morning.

Forty people were lodged in Union county jail by federal and local officers after raids starting at 5 30 this morning under P M Caudle with deputies and state officers. A total of 77 charges covered conspiracy and prohibition violations across six vehicles, with only one arrestee from Union town.

Benson North Carolina October 22 AP Friends of J M Royal of Johnson County mourn his murder as they prepare the funeral. Royal showed a purse of 1200 dollars before being shot in the breast with only 10 75 left. Coroner J H Kirkman ordered Claude Barber held as the inquiry begins next Wednesday. Tire tracks at the scene resembled Barber’s car. Royal’s widow is in state hospital care.

Injured by Bomb Found at Wilson County Fair

Three young children were seriously burned and two more were treated at home after a pyrotechnic bomb found at the Wilson county fair ground exploded.
