The blaze originated in cotton, wind was high, insurance status unclear, but shipments will continue.
An Missouri Pacific accommodation train of four coaches, crowded for Kansas City, was rear collided by the Wichita express of eighteen coaches near Rock Creek Station. A woman on the platform was killed. Conductor H H Noland and baggage master Matt Chapman were injured. others suffered broken limbs and injuries.
