Georgia Man Sentenced to 95 Years in Hendersonville
A 34 year old Georgia man pleaded guilty to assault and robbery of Johnnie Perkins in Hendersonville. He received ten year terms for each count totaling 95 years, with additional larceny of the Quinn automobile noted but not sentenced. Father and three children die in Arkansas blaze
In Reyne and nearby McDougal Arkansas a fire destroyed the Malden family home. William Malden 31 and his three children Floyd 7 Levi 1 Jeanette 2 died. Mother Mrs Malden is critically burned. Two other children Alice Sue 10 Jeanie Louise 9 suffered minor burns. A fifth child was uninjured. Authorities cited a kerosene can near a wood stove that exploded.
