FBI announced Burton Ransom 26 of Columbus Ohio was arrested on state murder charges tied to the slaying of James M Shirley 37 of Hollis Queens NY whose body was found in a water filled gravel pit near Wadesboro North Carolina on Sept 7 and whose car was found two days earlier in Toby Creek near Marion South Carolina. Burton Ransom also faces a separate charge of interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle and will be returned to North Carolina.
