Simple 15 Line Tax Form May Be Used For 1954
Washington. Wage earners under 5000 dollars may use a simple 15 line tax form for 1954. Internal Revenue Commissioner T Coleman Andrews announced the new card form Saturday. An estimated 35 million of over 60 million U. S. taxpayers will be eligible. The form is a streamlined 1040A and may lead to a no return system for under 5000. Two other main return types redesigned for clarity. Forms mailed starting December 26 with a new April 15 deadline for 1954 returns.
