Announcement of Velma Richardson and William F Cope Jr marriage, held Oct 10 at 5 30 at Rev C E Brewer's home on Lockland Ave Winston-Salem. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs N A Richardson of Eagle Springs, wore an iridescent blue dress with white carnations. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs W F Cope Route 1 Kernersville. He served in the Air Force and is stationed at Fort Meade Md. The couple will reside with the groom's parents after a Western NC wedding trip.

Members of the Plant and Pluck Garden Club met at Mrs. A. J. Simeon’s home and walked to Dick Cullers farm for the session. President Mrs. Lester Stevens led the business portion. Sixteen members attended with one new member Mrs. R. J. Reed. Mrs. Glenn Lambert received a kitchen gift shower.
