Industry Urged To Promote Women Into Management
NY Carnegie Corp president Alan Pifer urged industry education and working women to promote entry of more women into upper management. Speaking to 675 NABW members at the Waldorf Astoria, he proposed education, in house training, family-friendly arrangements, and supportive attitudes to advance women into leadership. He cited a Simmons College NABW program funded by Carnegie grants as a model for service industries.
