An inter agency youth employment and education committee urged federal aid to states for a school program serving youths aged 14 to 20. Steelman, notes wartime layoffs may lead to unemployment and future schooling challenges. Departments of Agriculture and Labor and the Federal Security Agency contributed to the recommendation.
