In Bangor Maine on October 12 federal agents killed outlaw Al Brady and mobster Clarence Shaffer Jr after a five minute downtown street gun battle. A third gang member, James Dalhover, was wounded and surrendered. one agent wounded. Brady sought for multiple slayings and robberies. The gunmen had terrorized the Midwest and traced to Bangor by DOJ agents with Indiana State Police.
