Distribution of Booklet Halted by Catholic Bishops

The National Council of Catholic Men halted distribution of the study booklet A Question of Values after objections from the U.S. bishops. The move, objected to by William H. Sandweg, aims to prompt reconsideration of the booklet’s approach to church and society. The debate centers on concerns of anti-institutionalism and moral relativism in the material authored by William Maher, with funding of $20,000.
