Local couples plan double weddings at B nai Israel Synagogue
Miss Sandra Silverstein and Stanley N Ferber announce plans to wed November 26 at B nai Israel Synagogue. Miss Linda Cabot and William Ashhendorf schedule a December 17 ceremony at the same temple. Silverstein is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Irving Silverstein of 227 Edgedale Dr Charlotte and Ferber is of Atlanta Ga. Cabot resides in Charlotte and will marry Ashhendorf of Charlotte.

Nature Study Club Tours Chinqua Penn Plantations
Nature Study Garden Club members toured Penn Plantation during their meeting on Thursday. They visited the home and gardens and noted art treasures furnishings and decorations reflecting the Penns life. Mrs Penn donated the plantation to UNC Greensboro in 1959.

Mrs Otto to Be Hostess at Garden Club Shower
Mrs Walter K Otto will host the Garden Club at 1505 Pinehurst Drive on Wednesday at 10 am with Mrs W Malpass as cohostess. The event featured about 51 guests at Springfield Baptist Church hall, a corsage for the honoree, and an electric toaster as a gift. Punch cake squares nuts and mints were served on a white cutwork cloth with yellow and white chrysanthemums centerpiece. Special guest included Mrs the bride of Steven Webb.
