Danish 8000-Year-Old Village Found in Jutland
Danish archaeologists uncover remnants of an 8000-year-old Stone Age settlement on a Korup lake island in Jutland. Excavations reveal three villages dating to 6000 B C, 1000 years later, and 300 A D, with a 35 foot wide cobblestone street, two long buildings, 52 rooms, and later Iron Age graves. The site suggests early communal living but eventual sand erosion forced abandonment.
