In Rockingham a department store reported the theft of two complete men’s wardrobes and a neighboring jewelry shop said it was missing engagement rings wedding bands and watches worth about 17000. Thieves likely entered last night or early today, police said.

He belonged to Green Street Baptist Church Builders Class Trophy Council Junior Order and worked 12 years at Myrtle Desk Company. Survived by his wife Annie Law son of former marriage Clara Miller died 1925 two sisters Nora Rickert Mrs Joe Boles High Point one brother Ralph Rickert Atlanta two nephews Jimmy Rickert US Army Africa Donnie Rickert High Point niece Mrs Rudolph Jones Archdale Funeral Tuesday at 4 PM from Green Street Baptist Church with Dr L B Reavis presiding body to be moved to home at 609 East Green Street at 4 PM and placed in church 30 minutes before service Interment in Oakwood Cemetery family plot.
Edward Kinnie Bradshaw 56 a Thomasville resident for seven years died at home Thursday night after a long illness. Funeral held Saturday at Carolina Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Summey and Rev. A L. McGee officiating. Interment at Oak Level Baptist Church Cemetery in Stokesdale. Pallbearers listed. Flowers arranged by Phebian Sunday School Class.

A pump fire at Rooks Shell Station on English Street caused minor damage. Overall, the day featured several incidents with minimal injuries reported.
Mrs. Lonnie Hilliard of 415 Gatewood Avenue was taken to High Point Memorial Hospital yesterday morning after a gunshot wound to the head. Her condition was listed as not too serious.
