North Carolina Bank and Trust Gets 7.6 Million Line of Credit
The Reconstruction Finance Corporation authorized loans totaling 7.6 million dollars to the North Carolina Bank and Trust Company. Only 475 thousand of the amount is currently drawn, with 6.5 million still available as needed. The plan, decided last January, aims to protect depositors and support continued lending to customers. The bank has already issued over 4 million in new loans this year and will retire its obligation to the National Credit Corporation as this facility is used.
