Jungleland Will Be Auctioned In California
Jungleland in Thousand Oaks faces bankruptcy with auction set for Wednesday. The 43 year old Universal Pictures animal farm once housed 1800 creatures for films and shows but rising costs, dwindling crowds, and local development push the auction. Landowner Goebel and six sets of former owners blame insurance, while Auctioneer Al Silver notes global interest in animals, equipment, and property valued around 3 million dollars.
