Four masked robbers held up the West Raleigh Wachovia branch about 9:35 a.m., taking nearly 17 000 dollars and leaving a .38 pistol. The getaway car was found abandoned 40 minutes later as police scoured the area. investigators noted the robbers wore masks and gloves and may have included white and Negro participants.
