Alcoa Pushes Plan For Fourth Dam On Yadkin Pee Dee
In North Carolina, Alcoa pushes approval for the Tuckertown Dam near Tuckertown and plans to expand Badin aluminum facilities. The project, to 1250 feet long, would flood about 25 000 acres and generate 40 000 kilowatts at an estimated 14 million dollars, with a 50 year operating franchise sought for all Yadkin Pee Dee hydro projects.
