Captain Clyde H. Bass Dies in Texas Plane Crash
Former High Point resident Captain Clyde H. Bass, in the U. S. Army Air Forces since 1939, was killed in a Bi Field, Texas crash. Born 1916 in Charlotte, he had worked in High Point city accounting before enlisting, married Mary Ellen Faulk in 1942, and is survived by his widow Peggy Joe, parents in Charlotte, a brother Harold, and sister Peggy. Body to be brought to High Point for funeral and interment.
