Trading in Adams-Millis Pauses on NYSE Surge
Trading in Adams-Millis on the New York exchange halted briefly as the stock jumped 4 percent to 81 percent. An official said there was no known reason for the rise before trading resumed. The stock was brisk and gained two more points in early afternoon trading. The director postponed today's dividend meeting to Friday due to the absence of President J H Millis, with a regular dividend expected then. Chrysler eyes October output, copper strike shows early signs of easing, and steel production rises. Changes in key issues were mostly fractional, with some moves of a point or two. Rubbers, mail order retail, and chemicals led gains while other groups were mixed.
