Negro injured by freight train collision in Thomasville

Claud Kennell a Black man from High Point was injured yesterday after noon when the car he rode in was struck by a southbound freight train. He was thrown hundreds of feet, Yow's ambulance took him to Griffin General Hospital for treatment by railroad physician Dr. D. A. Stton. His leg was broken and body bruised but condition not believed serious this morning.

Payne Child Dead Funeral Tuesday

Charles Wayne Payne, fifteen months old and son of Mr and Mrs Lucian C Payne of Thomasville route 1, died this morning after several weeks illness.
