In Mineola New York Nassau County District Attorney closed the case into the death of 16 year old Maryjane Dahl after her respirator was unplugged amid a four week illness. Her mother Janet Dahl Sarvent and aunt Jane Sheehan defended themselves against blame while doctors cited multiple serious conditions including meningitis Hodgkin disease and kidney failure. The DA said insufficient evidence tied the unplugging to homicide. Maryjane died November 2 after being hospitalized since October 25.
