Board To Study School Bids For Oak Ridge Addition
Guilford County Board of Education will again consider bids for an Oak Ridge Elementary School addition at a Saturday meeting. The board will review equipment bids for improvements and hear progress reports on Eastern Guilford High School and other projects. An Oak Ridge expansion planned two classrooms and a multipurpose area with about 105000 dollars available, including 20000 donated by local presidents, while bids reached 249000 dollars. Planning Board Rejects 2.5 Unit Density Limit
Price explains the difference between the commissioner's plan and the current sliding scale plan. Under the commissioner plan an owner of 100 acres could place at most 200 dwelling units in a watershed, while the 2.5 per acre rule on 80 percent above minimum would still cap at a similar level.
