Two Jetliner Crashes Injure 26 Across Three Flights
The Associated Press reports 26 injured in two DC9 crashes in Tennessee and Ohio. An Eastern DC9 veered off at Akron Canton, split in two, 16 admitted after 26 aboard were rushed to hospitals. Stephen Norton 29 of Spartanburg S C formerly of Charlotte is charged with murder. The body of Walter Bascom Mallonee Jr 31 of Charlotte was found June 9 in an apartment on the city outskirts after Norton's attorney directed police to the location.
