In Oklahoma City five youngsters died in a private nine room home for handicapped children. seventeen others were rescued. Fire officials cite a possible defective gas heater. In Little Rock six perished in a small frame house with one survivor hospitalized. In Milford a 3 year old girl died from a fire started by a faulty space heater. The DuMont family earlier lost four children in a Claremont fire linked to space heaters.
