Coast and Geodetic Survey Wants New Carteret Names
The Coast and Geodetic Survey seeks official changes and new names for Carteret county sites in North Carolina including Widders Gut to Jump and Run and Middens Creek to Jumping Run. Also proposed are Diamond Shoals and related Diamond Shoal segments along Cape Hatteras, with several Carteret and Pamlico county waterways renamed for navigation and rescue clarity.
